Modified units:
Collector
Changes: In response to complaints by the JDA corps of engineers from their Collector
drivers over being unable to defend themselves when under attack, the standard JDA collector
has been modified. It now has a low powered forward firing laser that can target land, sea
and air based units. Its sister unit, the Hover Collector, has also been equipped with this
defensive weapon.
Rover
Changes: The JDA's original autonomous roving unit has been given a much needed
upgrade. A slight improvement on the Rover's weapon allows it slightly greater firepower,
and the ability to target land, sea and air units. The engine has also been tweaked to
provide a slight speed increase. Both of these modifications make it a more powerful unit
than even the Sycophant.
Sky Fortress
Changes: The Sky Fortress has been given the most notable upgrade; its primary weapon
no longer requires such a long charge time. Indeed, now it can fire almost indiscriminately.
Streamlined components have created more space inside the fortress, and this extra room has
allowed it to take on double-duty as a troop transport, with space for up to 12 units, and
the ability to accommodate Enforcers.

New units:
Shadowhand Omega
The Shadowhand Omega can do anything a Shadowhand can do, and more. Their holographic
projectors allow them to disguise themselves as any land based mechanical unit, though they
can not infiltrate any building when using it. Their improved sensors allow them to see
much further than a normal Shadowhand, thus making it easier for them to avoid disruptors
and wardens.
Super Collector
The JDA Super Collector was designed to be able to survive where a normal collector could
not, particularly in battlefield situations where the distance between the refinery and
available taelon is considerable. It can collect more taelon and collect it quickly. Its
forward mounted pulse laser cannon can fire rapid bursts at any target, and is able to take
out smaller units in only a few shots. It's also been fitted with a PSI repair unit.
Juggernaught
It was thought that all designs for this super weapon were lost after the Sprawlers stole
the only prototypes in existence. Fortunately, backups of the original design were
discovered and the project was restarted, this time under much greater security. The JDA
version is slightly more explosive than its Sprawler counterpart, and it has been given
regenerative armor to improve its chances of reaching its target.
Seer
Fitted with a sensitive long-range movement detector, the Type 4 Probe smart surveillance
unit or "Seer" can detect enemy activity in day or night sorties. Because the unit
needed to remain light weight, armor shielding was not feasible. However, a cloaking device
was installed in the later models to improve its chances of survival, as well as its
effectiveness.
Stanchion
The Type 5 defender probe or "Stanchion" is equipped with a low output armor pack
and a single prototype beam weapon. The Jarvik® Induction Prism uses a tracer
energy beam to stream intense gamma radiation to its target, proving deadly to unprotected
infantry. The nature of the weapon makes it useless against mechanical targets.
Sycophant
Thanks to the new improved drive unit from Mallen® industries, the Type 7
offensive probe or "Sycophant" carries a larger offensive payload and increased
armor shielding. Its projectile array fires corrosive, chemical-based warheads especially
suited for weakening buildings or a mechanical unit's superstructure. The Sycophant was the
remote unit of choice among JDA troops until the recent refit of the old Rover design.
Salubrite
A retrofitted Garion® probe chassis, the Type 8 Salubrite (also
affectionately called "The Chaplin" by JDA troops) was developed by the PSI corps
in response to greater demand due to the recent escalations in the war against the
Sprawlers. It can output PSI emissions at a greater range than the handheld emitters used by
Psitechs, but at the expense of higher power requirements.
JDA Shuttle
The JDA Shuttle's ability to carry so many units and cargo is as yet unrivaled. With 20
transport spaces it can easily carry an entire squad to its destination. Now, with the
ability to carry 20 troop transports, it can potentially carry an entire army. Its major
drawback, however, is its low shield strength. In inept hands, one's entire landing party
could be destroyed in one shot.
SkyBastion
The SkyBastion's primary function is to serve as a mobile repair and rearming station for
other flying units, and as such has a rapid rearming energy emitter. Its primary weapon is a
plasma generator coil. An array of four accelerators channel the plasma into dinstinct bolts
of devastating power. Primarily used for defense, its been known to be used offensively as
well.
Sky Bomber
The Sky Bomber represents the ultimate in air superiority. The recent modifications made to
the old Sky Fortress provided the proof of concept, and permission to develop the Sky Bomber
was granted. Its primary weapon is so powerful, it can destroy most targets in a single
shot. Despite the smaller frame (it uses a modified SkyBastion chassis), it can transport
up to ten troops, including Enforcers.

New buildings:
Falcon Tower
As much a work of art as it is a defensive platform, the JDA Falcon Tower provides so much
firepower that only two are ever needed to guard an entrance, or one if it's flanked by two
Retributor Obelisks. It can destroy any target usually with just a single shot. While the
construction rig isn't consumed in its construction, it takes a while to build, during which
time the rig is quite vulnerable to attack.
Retributor Obelisk
In response to the Sprawlers' recent acquisition of old Togran technology (specifically, the
Togran Pylon), the JDA Retributor Obelisk has been given an upgrade. Like the Falcon Tower,
it's as deadly as it is decorative. Its weapon can destroy almost any target with a single
shot. However, it has some difficulty with moving targets, so usually several shots are
required before it makes a hit.
Relay Station
The JDA Relay Station is quite a versatile communications tower. It has the ability to
assume some of the functions of a Command Center, such as providing for radar and enabling
cloaking devices. In conjunction with a radome, it can call for superior airstrikes. Its
main weakness is that if it is infiltrated, it can provide the enemy with line of sight to
the entire base. For this reason, it generates a small disruption field.
Prototype Factory
The Prototype Factory has been pressed into service again, thanks to the recent
reintroduction of the JDA Juggernaught. In addition, it is being used to produce the new
Super Collector. The Prototype Factory has proven to be useful for assembling units either
too big or too complex for the standard Motorpool, and as such has become a standard
building itself.
Fission Control
The Fission Control device is another building that was once only relegated to special use.
It's now a common site near JDA bases. A single Fission Control Device can provide enough
power for a single dome. It can also generate enough power for a single base, with plenty
to spare. However, if it's destroyed, or if it self-destructs, the resulting explosion is
powerful enough to take the rest of the base with it.
